    There were plenty of celebrations at the roastery this month when we learned that one of our favourite customers, Josh Ball, owner of Two Buoys, won Best Café Restaurant in the Mornington Peninsula Regional Awards for Excellence.

    The Melbourne Food and Wine Festival is one of the great food festivals of the world. In fact, it’s the largest of its kind anywhere in the world. The month-long festival celebrates all aspects of the food world and 5 Senses had the privilege of participating in two events this year.

  • Brett gets used to home-made lunches

    At lunchtime on his first day at Five Senses, Brett enquired, “What time is the chef bringing lunch today?” After scoffing and laughing at his wide-eyed naivety, we discovered that for 15 years, Brett had had restaurant meals prepared for him by chefs each day. Hmmm, more jealousy than laughter from us at that stage.
