Every now and then we come across something that’s good enough to pass on. This is one of those times.

If you like your wine red, your steak rare, and your coffee fresh then Abstract Gourmet may be just the site for you.

Matt of Abstract Gourmet has been steadily toiling away for a couple of years now, writing about his experiences eating, drinking, and cooking in Perth. An aspiring home chef, barista, and photographer, he manages an admirable job of each, all tied together with a little sarcasm and witty banter.

Matt also dabbles in coffee roasting himself, from time to time pulling together blends that suit his palate, whilst managing not to set his house on fire.

Matt does his best to seek out WA cafes making great coffee and support locals who are doing their best to keep his taste buds stimulated. He also takes a unique approach to reviewing, preferring to talk about his own experiences, rather than make general statements about an establishment. So all opinions should be taken with a pinch of salt, and a twist of lemon.
